Onboarding
WaterStep’s 360° approach starts by carefully assessing water sources, storage, treatment, and distribution within a community. Through detailed evaluations, we identify water and sanitation needs, including waste management practices. WASHUp helps participants see how on-site disinfection improves hygiene and sanitation in hospitals, schools, and homes, fostering a healthier future.
Implementation
Based on the initial assessment, we craft a detailed action plan, incorporating community or staff feedback. Our “train the trainer” model ensures that the knowledge and skills necessary to maintain and expand the WASHUp initiatives are deeply embedded within the community.
Monitoring and Evaluation
Continuous assessment is vital. We engage with the community for ongoing monitoring and evaluations, using surveys and studies to measure health, economic, and environmental impacts over at least a two-year period to ensure the sustainability and effectiveness of the program.
Support
Our commitment extends beyond the initial implementation. We provide ongoing support through additional training sessions, resources for hand pump repair, disaster response strategies, and community health education to reinforce and enhance the WASHUp initiatives.
