Financials & Transparency
Transparency You Can Trust.
WaterStep is committed to responsible stewardship of every dollar we receive. Our financials are publicly available, and we believe our donors deserve nothing less.
Stewardship we take seriously.
WaterStep, Inc. is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, and every gift to WaterStep is tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law. We are committed to directing the maximum possible percentage of donations to direct program work: the water systems, training, and deployments that get safe water to people who need it.
We publish our audited financials, Form 990 filings, and annual reports here so donors, partners, and the communities we serve can see exactly where the money goes. If you have a question about anything you find, reach out directly. Our team is happy to walk through the numbers with you.

Fund allocation.
How WaterStep spends every dollar raised.
WaterStep directs the large majority of every dollar raised to direct program work: building out safe water infrastructure, deploying equipment, training operators, and responding to disasters. A smaller portion covers the essential administrative and fundraising work that keeps the organization running and growing. Our most recent fund allocation is published in the annual report.
